MOT testing for both petrol and diesel vehicles is available at our workshop. The MOT test is fully computerised providing improved service for both garages and customers alike.

Tyres

ACK can offer a free tyre check. The legal limit for tyre tread is a minimum depth of 1.6mm.

It is generally recommended for safety reasons that the tyre is replaced before the minimum at about 2mm. This can save you a fine and three penalty points on your driving licence.

A tyre check will also indicate the pressure of the tyre which is just as important as tread. Too low a pressure, for instance, can contribute to tyre wear and will increase the amount of fuel your vehicle uses. Additional weight or load also contributes to tyre wear and tear if the pressures are not correct. If you would like a tyre check please contact us.
